Dior Revives 13 Iconic Fragrances with Dioriginals

Parfums Christian Dior is revisiting its fragrance archives with Dioriginals, a new collection reviving 13 scents that have marked the Maison’s olfactory history.

Created under the direction of Francis Kurkdjian, Dior Perfume Creation Director, the collection spans more than five decades of Dior fragrance, from Diorama, originally launched in 1949, to Higher Energy, introduced in 2003.

The Dioriginals collection comprises 13 Eau de Toilette fragrances, reintroducing some of the House’s most recognizable compositions while preserving the character of the originals.

Diorissimo

Originally launched in 1956, Diorissimo is an elegant green floral centered around lily of the valley, one of Christian Dior’s favorite flowers. In the new interpretation, a fresh texture of jasmine enhances the just-picked quality of the lily of the valley, bringing renewed radiance to its signature white floral character.

Forever and Ever Dior

Introduced in 2002 and inspired by wild roses, Forever and Ever Dior is a soft, musky floral evocative of spring blossoms. Almond and ambrette add a subtle sweetness while highlighting the delicate, airy character of the rose.

Dune

Originally launched in 1991, Dune is a luminous yet sensual ambery, floral and citrus fragrance featuring notes of blackcurrant, mandarin, rose and jasmine. The Dioriginals edition preserves the sparkling blackcurrant and mandarin facets, along with the distinctive oceanic character associated with the original fragrance.

Dune Homme

Launched in 1997, Dune Homme is a citrus, green and woody composition built around refreshing mandarin and green fig. The renewed version revisits the fragrance’s distinctive balance of citrus and woods while preserving its sophisticated character.

Higher

Originally introduced in 2001, Higher is a fresh aromatic and woody fragrance that layers rosemary, cardamom and cedar over vibrant notes of lemon and basil. The composition remains faithful to its aromatic identity, with subtle refinements designed to restore the freshness and radiance of the original.

Higher Energy

Launched in 2003, Higher Energy is a fresh, spicy and woody fragrance characterized by grapefruit and an absinthe accord. Inspired by the energy and lights of the city, the scent reflects the modernity and creative freedom that defined its original release.

The Dioriginals collection also brings back seven additional fragrances from the Dior archives:

Eau Fraîche

A New Look at an Archival Dior Bottle

The Dioriginals collection is presented in Dior’s distinctive Oval bottle, a design originally introduced in 1948.

Signature elements—including the clear glass silhouette and hemispherical stopper—remain, while a minimalist label and metal ring engraved with the “CD” monogram give the historic design a more contemporary finish.

The result connects Dior’s fragrance heritage with its present-day aesthetic, creating a collection that looks to the Maison’s archives while introducing these scents to a new generation.
